by Edcel Clarence Espiritu, The Master Showman
The Michaelinian community made noise at the Marilao Sports Complex last October 19, 2012 for the conclusion of their 28th Founding Anniversary, the Grand Michaelinian Olympics.
Among the four color distinctions: the Red Lions, the Blue Eagles, the Green Raptors, and the Purple Sharks; the Eagles took home the trophy as this year's champion.
In the game of dribbling and shooting, the Purple Sharks outmatched the other teams and won the basketball championship. Lorenzo Ventura, Michael Bondoc, Charles Bangad, Paulo Evangelista, and Danvic Laurio was declared the mythical five. Nikki Gutierrez was this year's MVP.
An array of glossy sportswear took the center stage to introduce the candidates for Ms. Intrams. The Green Raptors won the title of Ms. Intrams for level I, the Purple Sharks for level II, and the Blue Eagles won level III.
Numerous relays tested the collaborative skills of the competing Michaelinians. The blazing ball games exhibited the playing techniques of the young pros as the ball flew to-and-fro the opposite courts.
The olympics was preceded by performance of the SMSM Drum and Lyre Band. Mr. Christian Rafael Puntilar hosted the culmination of the 28th Founding Anniversary.
